The Lunch for Children’s Rights – September 21, 2010
The Lunch for Children’s Rights will be held on Tuesday, September 21, 2010 at the Crown Ballroom (attached to the NASCAR Hall of Fame) in Uptown Charlotte at noon. The lunch, presented by the Council for Children’s Rights, will focus on numerous ways the general public can make a difference in the lives of Mecklenburg County children.
Special guest Jonathan Kozol, a renowned lecturer, author and activist, will speak about education and social justice in America. Attendees will also hear from staff members, grateful parents and community leaders.
The CFCR is an independent non-profit agency dedicated to protecting the children of Mecklenburg County. CFCR’s work focuses on individual advocacy, legal representation and connecting children to vital services.
