The Dilworth Center Welcomes Cynthia Sims
PMA Consulting is pleased to announce that the Dilworth Center has hired Cynthia Sims as its new Director of Development.
The mission of the Dilworth Center is to provide affordable and effective treatment services for chemically dependent persons and their families. For nearly 25 years, the Center has transitioned patients to a more productive, substance-free life through comprehensive and customized treatment programs for adults, young adults, and adolescents. The Dilworth Center’s recently-renovated facility on Park Road in Charlotte provides a warm, family-like atmosphere and a comfortable, safe environment for patients and their families to begin their recovery process.
As the Charlotte-Mecklenburg community continues to grow, so does the need for transformational substance abuse treatment services. The Dilworth Center is determined to accommodate everyone who seeks help at its doors, and is also dedicated to meeting the financial needs of all participants to ensure that no one is turned away from treatment options for financial reasons alone.
Before joining the staff at the Dilworth Center, Cynthia served on the organization’s Board of Directors, building a deep understanding and passion for the work being accomplished. Previously, Cynthia served as Client Service Associate & Communications Manager at Rinehart Wealth & Investment Advisory. In this capacity, she oversaw the firm’s marketing, business development, and philanthropic initiatives. Cynthia is active in the Charlotte philanthropic community through her service on the Board of Directors for KinderMourn and on the marketing and communication committee for the Women’s Impact Fund. Cynthia is also editor of Life in Dilworth magazine and a writer for Life in Myers Park magazine.
Through the newly-created role of Director of Development, Cynthia will be responsible for overseeing all fundraising activities and building and stewarding donor relationships to achieve the Dilworth Center’s annual fundraising goals. She will also work closely with the CEO, Board of Directors, and other organizational leaders to expand the Center’s community awareness through strengthened marketing and communications efforts. Cynthia will significantly enhance the Dilworth Center’s ability to effectively accommodate and serve all patients who seek help through customized, compassionate treatment.
Please join us in welcoming Cynthia Sims to her new position at the Dilworth Center!
