Anne started her career as an associate attorney with Sidley Austin in Chicago practicing in the real estate, labor and health groups. She expanded into nonprofit management, client services and governmental affairs as the Assistant Director of State Legislation at the American Medical Association, later joining a health and medical industries consulting firm in California. In Charlotte, Anne founded A.F. Vail & Company to provide project management to nonprofits in the region, with significant work on behalf of Foundation for the Carolinas, providing professional support to the Foundation’s senior executives. At Discovery Place, Anne served as Senior Director, Institutional Giving leading strategic direction, cultivation and stewardship for corporate and foundation giving, and exceeding fundraising goals.
As Senior Consultant at PMA, Anne brings significant expertise in the arenas of strategic planning, collaborative partnerships, organizational development, advancement, executive search, and research and analysis. Anne was educated in the public school system of Elkhart, Indiana, earned a BA in history at Northwestern and received her JD from the University of Michigan Law School.
