Greensboro College, a private, Methodist-affiliated institution, engaged PMA in 2010 and 2011 to help assess capital campaign feasibility and launch a new vision.
“Efforts to reinvigorate Greensboro College were overshadowed by past shortfalls in financial management and questions regarding the institution’s short- and long-range goals,” says PMA Director Stephen Belenky. “We recognized that launching a successful capital campaign was as much about reintroducing the institution and clarifying its intended outcomes to the public, as it was about raising $8 million dollars.”
With PMA’s help, Greensboro College launched a multi-faceted capital campaign with an understanding of the capacity of its stakeholders, a more robust case for support, and a framework to enlist capital funding.
“We teamed with Patton and his associates to boost our annual fund numbers with a redesigned program. It was such a success we asked them to work with us on our capital campaign launched in conjunction with our 175th anniversary.
The PMA team has provided consistent counsel that has made measurable difference as we’ve built a foundation for campaign. It’s an early winner!”Carolyn DeFrancesco - VP for Institutional Advancement
