Planned Giving for the Faith Community
Leave A Legacy Charlotte Region has put together a diverse panel of experts that will share how to implement a successful planned giving program in your faith community. The program will focus on practical topics which will help:
* Address some of the myths of planned giving
* Outline a simple plan to build a pipeline of bequests/planned gifts
* Provide materials to launch a planned giving program
* Share examples of successful programming
Dale Allison, Administrator for Myers Park Presbyterian Church, a growing congregation that recently concluded a $30 million campaign that included a significant number of planned gifts.
Phil Warshauer, Executive Director, Foundation For The Charlotte Jewish Community, is responsible for launching “The Book of Life” project, an effort designed to recognize and celebrate the legacies of many donors in the Jewish Community.
Bill Williamson, Investment Advisor and Chair of the Planned Giving Committee for St. Peter’s Episcopal Church (Uptown) In less than seven years, Bill, together with a committee of ten people, built a pipeline of 75+ bequests totaling over $8 million in planned gifts.
