Important Upcoming Event: AFP’s 7th Annual North Carolina Philanthropy Conference
Patton McDowell & Associates is excited to be attending the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) 7th Annual North Carolina Philanthropy Conference on August 11, 2011, at the Sheraton Imperial Hotel in Durham, NC. The conference will include opportunities to network with representatives of nonprofit organizations from across the state and attend sessions on topics relevant to current trends in our philanthropic communities.
Andrew Watt, the President and Chief Executive Office of AFP International, will open the conference. Originally from Scotland, Watt’s focus is making AFP the authority in the philanthropic world. The keynote speaker, Jocelyn Harmon, the Director of Nonprofit Services at Care2, who helps nonprofits become successful using online resources.
Patton McDowell is honored to be leading one of the breakout sessions, “Making Your Personal Strategic Plan Work For Your Organization” which starts at 3:15pm. He will lead session participants through a personal strategic planning process, describing how planning will benefit both the individual and their organization. He will share practical exercises and resources for each step of the planning process.
