Career Development is Important for Nonprofit Professionals

As a co-chair of the AFP’s upcoming Career Development for Nonprofit Professionals event on October 27, I wanted to take a brief moment to comment on why such an event is important.

The nonprofit sector doesn’t always do a good job when it comes to professional development. We as a sector have to realize that in order to reach a higher standard, we must first focus on achieving the skills and knowledge necessary to develop individually. I hope events such as the one listed above will help in starting a trend of more career development.
