A Reminder: PMA Pro Bono Project
During this holiday season, Patton McDowell & Associates would like to remind the community about the launch of the PMA Pro Bono Project, a new annual effort to identify an exceptional grassroots organization primed to take a step forward to impact the lives of residents in the Greater Charlotte region. Applications for this project are due on January 10, 2012.
Once applications are received, a community-led selection panel will review all applications and select one worthy organization in early 2012, announcing the selection during the firm’s anniversary wine social in February. PMA is excited to announce those leaders from the Charlotte community who have agreed to serve on our selection committee. Those individuals include:
- Katie Benston: Chief Programming Officer–Care Ring.
- Katherine Mooring: VP, Capacity and Community Engagement—Arts and Science Council
- Dr. Will Sparks: Director, Leadership Initiatives—McColl School of Business, Queens University of Charlotte
- Chris William: Producer and Moderator—Carolina Business Review
To be eligible for the PMA Pro Bono Project, the organization must be a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization located within the six-county Greater Charlotte region. The nonprofit will have a maximum operating budget of $250,000, a minimum of one full-time staff member, a board of directors, and a mission that benefits the Charlotte community. If you know of a worthy nonprofit that inspires you, please pass this information along and encourage them to apply.
