A New “Twist” on North Carolina Philanthropy
The 2013 Annual North Carolina Philanthropy Conference is coming up on August 16th at the Embassy Suites in Concord, NC. This year’s theme is “A New Twist: Adding Zest to the Tried and True”, which will provide a multitude of learning opportunities to new and experienced fundraisers alike.
In addition to learning opportunities, the conference brings together development professionals from throughout the state to network and collaborate with new ideas and strengthen the nonprofit landscape.
As we find ourselves in a new economic landscape, individual donors, corporations and foundations want their donations to have a higher degree of impact on nonprofit organizations. This year’s conference seeks to provide ideas to meet these expectations while utilizing proven fundraising methods.
In addition to providing new ideas, the format of this year’s conference will be different from years past. This year will feature:
- Three opening keynote speakers who will provide brief messages about their areas of expertise (Social Media, Metrics and Board Development) and the opportunity to attend master classes with deeper discussion.
- A lunch-time debate featuring Gail Perry, Robert Wahlers, and Karla Williams.
- A closing session with Eric Rowles, president of Leading to Change, that will feature surveys to help us understand generational differences.
Regardless of whether this is your first conference or if you have been to this conference before, this year’s format and topics promise to provide each attendee with new tools and new friends. If you have already signed up, please make sure to find the PMA team. If you have not yet, please sign up today by going to the conference link here.
We look forward to seeing you on August 16th!
